Jonathan Parrott has worked with horses since leaving school. He started his working life training with John Clark, where he obtained his teaching certificates. Jonathan is qualified with his NVQ level 3 and is an experienced BHSAI.

Jonathan moved on to work in John Marsden's event yard where he gained experience training and competing young event horses. He remains a close friend and colleague of John's.

To gain further experience Jonathan spent some time in Ireland working on a show jumping yard, where he spent much of his time backing and schooling young horses - which proved to be his forte.

After his time in Ireland Jonathan moved back to the North West of England and spent 2 years working for Doug Aldred's dealing yard. It was here that he had the opportunity to back and bring on a variety of horses and gained vast experience in showing horses to potential clients in order to achieve sales.

The start of JRP Equestrian Services

In 2004 Jonathan decided to start his own business, based on a yard in Lymm, Cheshire. He has subsequently moved to his own yard, where he can live "on-site" with his family. He is now based in Overton, between Whitchurch and Wrexham. He provides an all round service but does specialise in backing, schooling and competing young horses. Jonathan also sells a number of horses on behalf of clients and will assist clients looking to purchase to find one to suit their requirement.

Jonathan competes regularly on horses from his own yard and on behalf of other owners and he is affiliated to both British Eventing and BSJA. Although Jonathan has previously concentrated on eventing, since he started his own business Jonathan has taken a keen interest in show jumping and has successfully assisted a number of clients in starting their young horses at affiliated level, as well as developing several client's horses.

Jonathan has also developed a keen interest in breeding and 2005 saw his first foals born. Dedicated to breeding performance sports horses, Jonathan has foals by a number of well known stallions, as well as several by his own young stallion, Casanova Du Domaine Z.
