SIRE: Casanova Du Domaine Z 17hh grey 2003 Belgian Warmblood

Casanova Du Domaine Z
at Addington Manor in 2009,

Nova has to have one of the best pedigrees in Britain or abroad. His sire is Cassini I who is a superb International show jumper and sire of Jos Lansing’s World Champion stallion Cavalor Cumano. Cassini I brings with him such exceptional stallions as Capitol I, Caletto II and Cor De La Bryere. On Nova's dam's line there is similar impeccable breeding with Caletto I, Landgraf I, Ladykiller XX and Marlon XX. There is not a weak line anywhere in his breeding.

2009 saw Nova reach every major 6 year old final, jumping triple clear at Addington Manor. He qualified for the Amateur 1.20m final and Foxhunter second rounds at only 6 years old. Nova is currently based with Dave Quigley jumping 1.30m/1.40m classes. During 2010 he will be aimed at all 7 year old classes and will commence his International career.

Nova has a superb technique and has proved extremely sensible in the ring. He is straight forward to handle, traveling and living happily alongside mares. His first batch of foals are now broken and all proving very trainable and extremely scopey.

DAM: Westside Astoria 16.2hh Bay Mare (2006) by Polling

Polling

Westside Astoria is a good looking young mare with good confirmation and paces. Jonathan has hopes for a good future as a sports horse as she matures.

The dam sire is the well known stallion Polling. Polling is a 1987 Bavarian Warmblood and his father Pilot is one of the best sires of showjumpers with offspring jumping to international and Olympic level. His mother, Mutige, was herself an accomplished showjumper to 1.30m and 3 day eventer and her sire was a founder member of a very successful Trakener stallion line.

Polling himself was champion at his approval in Bavaria and was placed 2nd in the 100 day test. Polling has already produced a winner of this stallion test with his son "Piz Buin" in 2002. He now has several offspring jumping successfully at 1.40m and above.
